The fundamental objective of the project “By the Active Diversity” is to negotiate of positive form the diversity that introduces the variable of gender, to fight the vertical and horizontal segregation that suffer the women in the labor market.

The horizontal segregation refers al maintenance of a division in the labor market by virtue of which the women concentrate mainly in some sectors of activity that have smaller social consideration and, in general, worse working conditions. The vertical segregation reflects the barriers that presents the labor market so that the women agree to the positions of greater responsibility in the businesses. Catching these problems should be also a social responsibility of the businesses.

Fighting the segregation requires of the elaboration and set in motion of new models of business management as well as of the promotion of actions for the leadership abilities acquisition, negotiation and management. It is necessary to set in motion strategies that go beyond the improvement of the professional profiles of the women, promoting adequate models of cultural change in the labor environment, in the workplaces and in the organizations to instances that the decisions on social politics they make and employment. In final, it is necessary to put in evidence and to modify the cultural attitudes that are found in the base of the discrimination.

“Active diversity” intends exactly to define and to develop an assembly of solutions integrated in a “model for assets” that be fundamentally transferible and that serve for the conformed business of new models creation by women and insertos in sectors of traditionally male activity and for the management models development that guarantee the participation of the women in the labor market, promoting a culture of the diversity in the Productive and economic development.

The intervention that will be carry out in this project Equal is based on three axes:

. The Social Economy businesses creation, promoted by women, through processes of formation, advice and accompaniment in traditionally male sectors.

. The democratic business management models development and socially head directed to the promotion of a change of vision and business culture that favor the participation of the people, independently of their gender, in all the sectors of activity and in all the labor categories, incorporating the women in those sectors of activity in which they have low representation and in the spaces of direction and planning of the businesses.

. The economic development models impulse and localities based on the participation of politicians, civic and professional, by means of the generation of a change of mentality in the agents responsible for the mediation and career guidance in the school and in the vocational training, including the participation and agreement of the social and economic agents you tied al territory, strategic, therefore, in the development business of new initiatives.

This intervention is directed women with problems of labor insertion: over 45 years, young unemployed, unemployed long-term, victims of violence in processes of labor insertion, women in situation of irregular employment or in risk of social exclusion and to women with difficulties of professional promotion.
